Tally Hoops · Release notes

What's new in Tally Hoops

Tally Hoops 3.11 is the current version on the App Store. Here's everything each update added, changed and fixed, newest first.

Version 3.11 October 9, 2026

Added

  • iPhone Duo: stand it half-open courtside and Record splits along the fold. The standing half shows the whole frame being recorded, with framing corners on it, and the controls move to the half lying flat. The outer display turns toward the court as a scoreboard with makes, attempts, percentage and the session clock, and can be switched off in Record
  • Premium: Film Room on session videos. The player shows a chapter for every shot you logged, with makes and misses marked and a filter for either; tap one and the video jumps to just before that shot. From the player's menu, Share Longest Streak cuts your longest run of makes (three or more) into a clip with a few seconds of setup before it. Free players see the chapters, and tapping one shows Premium
  • While Record is open on iPhone, Apple Watch's Start screen reminds you to log each shot right away, before you chase the ball, so Film Room's chapters land on the shot. Record's Setup Tips say the same

Changed

  • Apple Watch: the streak ring around every face except Classic is now ten segments, so you can count a streak at a glance, and your newest shot's segment is drawn a little thicker until the next one. Past ten in a row it goes round again: the first lap dims and the new one fills over it, with a dot at the top for each lap you've finished, so 14 no longer looks the same as 10. The ring no longer runs behind the face's numbers: each line of text keeps inside it, the percentage and makes line sits higher where it has room, and the heart rate moves to the edge, with the heart showing your zone colour
  • On iPhone Duo, folding or unfolding the phone keeps History's filter, sort and selection instead of resetting them
  • On iPhone Duo open in portrait, History shows your list of sessions instead of an empty "Select a Session" page
  • On iPhone Duo turned sideways, open or partly folded, nothing sits on the fold: Home's two columns, the Stats, Records and Videos grids and the More and Drills grids (now four columns) split evenly either side of it, and History's list ends where the fold begins
  • Sheets use the standard close, cancel and confirm buttons (✕ and ✓) in place of the words Done, Cancel and Save, and toolbar buttons all carry a symbol, so on iPhone Duo they can sit in the side bar
  • Records' cards line up with the rest of the page on iPad and on an unfolded iPhone Duo, instead of sitting further in
  • Drill cards show the short session type ("3 POINTERS") when the full one doesn't fit, instead of cutting it off
  • Assist Mode voice control hears "make" and "miss" far more reliably in a noisy gym, no longer logs a shot twice for one call, and no longer treats "yes", "yeah" or "yep" as a make, which a misheard "miss" or someone else's chatter could trigger
  • Assist Mode voice control: "pause", "resume" and "end" only work said on their own, so a sentence like "let's finish up" can't end your session. After you pause, voice keeps listening for up to 10 minutes so you can say "resume"
  • Assist Mode voice control keeps working when AirPods connect or disconnect mid-session, and uses AirPods' full-quality microphone where they support it

Version 3.10 September 27, 2026

Added

  • Premium: Splits Lab on Stats, right under When You Shoot Best. It slices your shooting by day of the week, time of day, session length, court, sleep and how much you shot the day before, marks your average on every bar, and names the conditions where you shoot your best only when the difference holds up: at least three sessions behind it and a gap bigger than a run of luck. A split with no real difference says so. Free players see the finding blurred on Stats, and never a time-of-day one, since the free card above it already shows that split
  • Rest & Shooting: connect Health and Tally Hoops shows last night's sleep, heart rate variability and resting heart rate on Home (Last Night) and on each session (The Night Before), next to your own 60-day typical range, and your session recaps and Coach's Corner take them into account. The Home card adds what you shot yesterday and, once Splits Lab finds one, what sleep does to your shooting, with a way into Splits Lab's sleep split. There's no score, just your numbers, and it works with any Apple Watch or iPhone that writes sleep and heart data to Health. Connecting Health also fills in your sessions from the last 90 days, so the sleep split works from day one. A clearly high HRV or low resting heart rate now reads as above or below your typical instead of near it, and the typical range shows up after about a week of readings. It's on by default and can be turned off in Settings › AI Insights, on every iPhone
  • Apple Watch: rate a session's effort from 1 to 10 on the summary, and it's saved to Health with the workout, where it counts toward your Training Load
  • A practice-day goal reminds you on the day it needs a session every remaining day: that morning at 9, or at 5 PM when the day is today. Practicing moves the reminder along
  • Opening Week Goal: the App Store's Opening Week event (October 20 to November 3) opens a ready-made goal to shoot on five days of the season's first week. Free players get it on top of their one free goal. Every session counts, and finishing it says "Opening Week Complete!" and gives you a shareable card of the week
  • Record: switch between 0.5×, 1× and 2× on the back camera, even while recording, with only the choices your iPhone's cameras support. Record also shows framing corners and "Fit the rim and the shooter inside the frame" before you start, and a Setup Tips sheet on where to put your phone. A phone stood upside down to lean it against something now records upright

Changed

  • A practice-day goal's last-day reminder says "Shoot today and it's done" instead of "1 to go", and a goal more than a day short on its last day no longer gets a reminder that one session is all it takes
  • Apple Watch: the Last Ten and Ghost Race faces drop the thin streak ring around the edge of the screen. It ran through Last Ten's row of dots and crowded Ghost Race's progress bar and stats against the bottom of the screen. Both faces already change with every shot you log
  • Record goes full-screen while it records. The tab bar, the back button and the Recording pill step aside, so nothing sits over your shot and nothing ends the take by accident. A recording started from your watch ends when you end the session on your watch
  • The Assist tab stays on screen until you tap Done on an ended session's summary, instead of dropping you on Home with the summary waiting under More
  • A session that ties a record is shown with the record's shared rank on Home's highlights and in its bests, instead of being called second or third for it
  • The Live Activity's heart rate dims and stops pulsing once it hasn't updated for a few minutes, so a stale reading no longer looks live
  • Stats' Week and Month ranges count their oldest day whole, not from the current time of day
  • Numbers and dates on the ball chart axes, Challenge details, the Assist summary and the record timeline follow your language's format
  • Bigger tap targets for the sync banner's buttons, the Unlock button on locked drill categories and the ball chart callout's close button, and easier-to-read text on the active History filter, the locked-badge crown, cleared drill checkmarks and the Siri snippets

Fixed

  • Tapping the Recording pill during a watch session's recording ended the recording, and that clip never attached to the session
  • When the camera recorder couldn't start, Record looked like it was recording but saved nothing, and said the recording had failed only when you stopped. It now says it couldn't start recording straight away, so you can try again
  • Ghost Race judges the record at the finish shot. A session that ran past your typical shot count could read "2 TO BEAT IT" in gold under a hero of -14, because extra shots were counting toward the finish total by volume. The sprint, the new-best state, the progress bar and their wrist taps now count only through the finish shot; the delta keeps racing the ghost's real pace after it
  • A session you deleted could come back as "Session not found" on another tab a few seconds later
  • A shooting-percentage goal that was above target but still short of its 50 attempts got no last-day reminder
  • Siri could say your weekly streak was 0 when the app's widget data couldn't be read
  • The Today's Training widget ring and the Challenges success rates rounded down (7 of 8 read 87%), so they didn't match the rest of the app
  • The activity ring stayed at double width while you logged shots quickly
  • The "Track from your wrist" tip could still show after your first Apple Watch session
  • A drill could be marked complete when its Assist session didn't save
  • Beat My Run could create a link the person you sent it to couldn't open
  • Some AI session recaps were thrown away in favor of the plain summary because they used "match" as a verb
  • Video tiles in Videos jumped from tall to wide as their thumbnails loaded

Version 3.09 September 18, 2026

Added

  • Apple Watch: eight new session faces. Big Number, Last Ten and Heart Rate are free for everyone. The insight faces (Projection, Chase, Ghost Race, Average Race and Stopwatch) are part of Premium
  • Big Number shows one huge number: your makes or your percentage
  • Last Ten shows how you're shooting right now: makes out of your most recent ten shots, huge, over a row of ten dots, solid for makes and rings for misses. A cold start scrolls off the edge instead of dragging your number all session. Ten straight makes turns it gold with a wrist tap
  • Heart Rate keeps your live BPM on screen. It reads CLIFF in red, with the number to match, for as long as you're past your fatigue cliff, and hides the corner that says so on every other face
  • Projection shows what your next make or miss will do to your percentage
  • Chase turns your records into a live ladder. Your best streak, most-out-of and fewest-to records each get a rung that shows how many misses you have to spare
  • Chase knows every session's record, not just your best. Each rung hunts a tier of your own sessions: your record, or the mark that closes your top 10%, top 25% or top half. A rung only moves when a tier is passed or slips away, so a player with hundreds of sessions has a place to climb on every rung instead of a record that's out of reach by the third shot. Your record keeps the gold trophy. A tier mark wears a silver rosette, so a 21 chased while your record is 23 never reads as the record. Standings read as the ordinal inside your top ten ("2nd") and as the tier beyond it ("on for top 25%"). The miss budget counts the misses before dropping a tier, and at zero the caption names the tier a miss lands you in. Standing and budget sit on their own lines so even a 40 mm reads them without shrinking. A window that has already banked its tier shows it as a standing, with a light wrist tap when it does. Rungs that can only be tied (a perfect 10 of 10 held by many sessions) and rungs reached with only a few shots left are skipped
  • Ghost Race races your best session shot for shot. The ghost is the session with the most makes by your typical shot count, the same length Average Race measures at, so a marathon only wins by shooting better over a normal-length stretch and the ghost always sits at or above your average
  • Ghost Race names the session it's racing. The wrist shows the record's line at the finish (a trophy over "80/112", its makes by your typical shot count), the sprint and new-best states are measured there, and the ghost's real pace keeps racing if you both shoot longer. The phone's "How to read this" explainer says which session it is per type, when you shot it and how it was picked, and shows both the finish line and the whole session it came from
  • Average Race races your typical session. Beat it and you know today was a good day. The wrist shows a typical session's line (a bar chart over "20/40"), and its explainer says how many sessions stand behind each type's average and how the average is built
  • Stopwatch runs a session clock and shows your Fastest to 10 and Fastest to 25 splits next to your records, and on up as you set them, each gold when today's is faster, with the makes still needed to the next one. Three makes from beating a record it turns gold and taps your wrist, and the make that beats it gets a flourish. The clock is the same wall clock the records use, so a pause keeps it running
  • Chase taps your wrist and flashes gold when a most-out-of record falls, the way Ghost Race, Stopwatch and Last Ten already celebrate theirs
  • How-to-read-this explainers for the Chase, Stopwatch and Projection faces in the Face Gallery, beside the Ghost Race and Average Race ones
  • Session Pages: choose which pages your watch shows during a session and the order you swipe through them. You can put more than one face in a session. Set them up from Settings → Apple Watch or the Watch Mode card
  • Fatigue Cliff Alert: two downward taps on your wrist and a PAST YOUR CLIFF banner when your heart rate has held above your cliff. The alert lands on your next shot, so it never interrupts one, and the heart-rate corner reads CLIFF for as long as you're past it. Switch it off in Settings → Apple Watch
  • The Stats Courts card says why it's empty: the filter is hiding courts, Location is denied (with an Open Settings button), or nothing has been recorded yet
  • On iOS 27, premium Coaching Insights and Training Plans can use Apple's Private Cloud Compute for richer results, with a "Process on Device Only" switch in Settings if you'd rather not
  • On iOS 27, heart-rate zone times come straight from the system's measurements, and Apple Music playlist export matches songs across storefronts
  • A What's New sheet the first time you launch after updating

Changed

  • Records: a record you matched rather than beat now reads "Tied" against the date it was first set, instead of announcing itself as a new personal best twice
  • Stats' Places & Health shows one gassed percentage instead of two that disagreed. The badge now names the shot type as well as the time range
  • Season Story and Within Reach read as short paragraphs, and Show More only appears when there is more to show
  • Coach's Corner no longer recommends the drill the session already was, or a third practice day the plan already schedules
  • Session locations save even when the spot has no name. The label falls back to the street or city, and the court still counts in Stats
  • The Projection face shows ±1 and ±5 rungs only, lit from the moment a session starts (100% and 0% before your first shot, so you can tell which face you're on right away), and dims the ladder in always-on
  • Reduce Motion now stills the per-shot ring spring and the pulse and record bursts on every face, Classic included. The fades stay, the zoom goes
  • The Stopwatch, Chase and Projection faces hold their layout: the clock no longer rises when a split lands, Chase's caption keeps its slot between rungs, and Projection's rungs are laid out from the first shot
  • The Year filter covers a full 365 days in every language, and career calories, makes and attempts format consistently in the career sheet

Fixed

  • Every per-challenge "off" switch in Settings now actually disables its challenge. Only 7 of 26 did before
  • A streak record and a face record on the same make no longer draw two overlapping gold bursts, and a record burst draws only on the page you're looking at
  • Turning Double Tap or crown input off on the wrist stays off instead of reverting mid-session, and a workout that fails to start no longer leaves a half-started session behind
  • A queued multi-drill session keeps the iPhone Live Activity and companion video running across every drill instead of stopping after the first
  • Watch video clips are no longer lost or deleted when a second recording starts while the first is still saving
  • Starting a basketball workout from the Workout app or Siri now opens a session on the watch; the Drills screen no longer traps on duplicate drill names; the summary no longer spins forever when Motion & Fitness is denied
  • Ball chart makes are visible in dark mode, and missed shots are tappable in Shot Analysis
  • Assist Mode no longer crashes on session start, and stopping then restarting while it's preparing no longer leaves a dead microphone behind "Listening"
  • Slow Burn is judged at shot 20 rather than on the first two makes, and Next Drill no longer buzzes twice
  • Pausing a watch session suspends the 20-minute inactivity timeout
  • Cancelling a session on Apple Watch returns you to the Start screen instead of stranding you on a spinner with the session still open, and the cancelled session stays out of your history
  • The Stats Courts card renders again (it had been blank since 3.08)
  • A charged-but-unverified purchase shows its own message instead of Ask to Buy copy, and cancelling a restore is no longer shown as an error
  • Haptics recover after a system interruption instead of degrading for the rest of the session
  • Live Activity and Siri snippets no longer round 99.7% up to 100%, and an open goal never reads 100%
  • Tally Count no longer discards a counter's history after a failed read, and its sparkline draws its data
  • Rank badges, the all-time detail sheet, and training plan history follow your chosen app language for numbers and dates

Version 3.08 August 27, 2026

Added

  • Premium: your Player Card on Profile — a tiered identity card (Rookie through Legend) built from your career makes, with a signature stat, this season's line, and up to three badges you choose to showcase. Pick the lens — Overall, 3PT, FT, or Freestyle — and share the card as an image. Free players see their own real card with the numbers still locked
  • Premium: Heat Check Playlist on the Songs card — build (or refresh) an Apple Music playlist of the songs that were playing during your hot streaks, ranked by how well you shot to them
  • Session detail now opens as a scannable overview: the drill the session belonged to, a map of the court you shot at (tap through to every session there), and an Effort card with shooting pace, active time, and time in zone — with the charts, Session Flow, per-song stats and metric comparisons behind a collapsible "Deep Dive"
  • A session's challenge results finally show on the session itself, with a tap through to each challenge
  • Export a per-shot CSV — time, result, running percentage, streak, heart rate, and shot location — from the session share menu
  • Training Plans: choose which weekday your training week starts on, in Plan Preferences
  • Album artwork on the session detail's song rows

Changed

  • Makes are green and misses are red everywhere — the streak ring, shot charts, video markers, watch and Vision Pro now agree — and miss arcs draw dotted when Differentiate Without Color is on
  • The Watch Mode card leads with a rendered preview of the face your watch session will actually open on
  • "This Week", "This Month" and "This Year" in History and Stats now mean the actual calendar week, month and year instead of a rolling 7, 30 or 365 days — and a future-dated session no longer turns up in all three
  • Numbers, percentages and dates follow your chosen app language in more places — session recap, expanded stats, History, Ball Chart and backup sizes

Fixed

  • Shot input on Apple Watch no longer goes dead after "Continue Shooting" or "Reset" — taps and the Digital Crown keep working when the ring comes back
  • A rare crash when launching a session to a watch that dropped its connection mid-send
  • The watch drill summary shows your actual results after "Continue Shooting" instead of zeros
  • Profile no longer freezes on iOS 27 when your avatar or badge shelf loads
  • Tapping a video from More → Videos stays on that video instead of bouncing back to the grid
  • Deleting a session on iPad no longer leaves a "Session not found" card stranded in the detail column
  • Deleting a session now takes back the training-plan day it completed
  • The Assist Mode voice pill no longer disappears while you're still shooting, and the live drill header shows the drill's translated name
  • Assist Mode voice now checks whether the system has room for another transcription language instead of failing silently, and Video Mode recordings survive an interrupted session
  • The "Goal Diversity" achievement can unlock again
  • Refreshing your Heat Check playlist when a song can't be looked up no longer replaces it with a partial list
  • Choosing a photo from your library when the camera isn't available now works — Cancel dismisses, and an unreadable photo says so instead of vanishing
  • Sorting History oldest-first now actually sorts oldest-first
  • "Delete All Data" fully resets first-session celebrations, so the milestone share prompt works again after a fresh start
  • Reduce Motion is respected by the achievement and drill-tier toasts

Version 3.07 August 17, 2026

Added

  • Tally Hoops now speaks 23 languages — twelve join the ten from 3.05: Chinese (Traditional), Greek, Spanish (Spain), Turkish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Arabic, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Czech, Croatian, and Hebrew, each with locale-aware numbers and dates, and right-to-left layout throughout in Arabic and Hebrew
  • Report a bug (or a translation that reads wrong) right from Settings — describe the problem or pick the exact on-screen text that's off, and it goes straight to the developer, no email needed (mail works too)

Changed

  • Numbers and dates now follow your chosen app language everywhere — including the widget and percent signs — even when your device region disagrees
  • Thousands of translations across the new languages got a deep quality pass: real plural forms everywhere, native basketball terminology, correct percent spacing, and a gender-neutral coaching voice in Czech and Croatian

Fixed

  • The Home summary headline no longer shows a stray ",630" once your all-time makes or shots pass 1,000 — and in Korean the shot-type label keeps its leading "3" (3점슛) instead of losing it
  • Tapping a record's timeline or session link now actually takes you there
  • Data export works again when your iCloud storage is full

Version 3.06 July 31, 2026

Added

  • "Your Career" on Home — your all-time numbers get their own band of tiles, count up as you watch, and show exactly what your last session added
  • Premium: "Your Season Story" on History — an on-device AI narrative of your whole season's arc, not just one session
  • Premium: "Within Reach" on Records — the first forward-looking insight: which record you're closest to beating and what it would take
  • Coach's Corner now remembers what it told you, tracks whether it worked, and coaches across sessions instead of rephrasing the same tips
  • Apple Watch complications, a Smart Stack widget, and a Quick Start control — start a session straight from your watch face
  • Start, pause, and resume workouts with the system Siri phrases you already use for other fitness apps, and log makes, misses, and undo right from the live Siri snippet
  • Tally Hoops Premium now supports Family Sharing
  • Four quick tips after onboarding point out voice control, music stats, share cards, and Watch Mode
  • Lapsed subscribers may see a personalized win-back offer, and Settings gains a Manage Subscription shortcut

Changed

  • The Home screen a brand-new player lands on now introduces the app instead of leading with a watch ad and a training prescription they never asked for
  • Session Recap and the Home trend card now verify every number they state against your actual data, and appear even on devices without Apple Intelligence
  • The shot chart got a deep polish: distance buckets read correctly past 25 ft, areas with no data show as gaps instead of 0%, the detail card stays on the court, and colors respect Differentiate Without Color
  • Records displays now agree with each other — rankings, tie order, and percent scales match across cards and detail views, and tied records hold a stable #1
  • Remaining fixed-size text — badges, chips, chart labels, legends — now scales with your text-size settings, and layouts hold up at the largest accessibility sizes
  • The in-app Tour's watch page shows a real animated watch, and its Done buttons work from both entry points

Fixed

  • A session cancelled on Apple Watch no longer sneaks into your iPhone history, and a queued watch launch now actually starts when the watch reconnects
  • Changing time zones no longer breaks your weekly streak, eats a paid Streak Freeze, or shortens your recorded best streak
  • Records no longer award a #1 trophy for an empty session, and milestone progress no longer skips rungs after a data rebuild
  • Deep links no longer land on blank screens, and replaying onboarding no longer corrupts first-run state
  • Deleting a session (or all your data) now clears everywhere immediately instead of after a relaunch
  • Setting a record after Home is already on screen now triggers its celebration
  • Siri now answers today's shot count with today's numbers
  • Videos recorded on Apple Watch land with the right session, and cancelled recordings stay out of Photos
  • Goals: a morning session now counts toward a goal you create that evening, and practice-duration goals stop losing up to a minute per session
  • Training plans no longer ship an English rest day in other languages, override your rest preferences on weekly rollover, or zero the week streak your complication shows after a plan edit
  • Data export now includes everything it should, runs off the main thread, and shows progress instead of freezing the screen
  • An Assist Mode or workout-only session interrupted by an app kill is now recovered on relaunch — shots, pauses, and timing intact — instead of being lost
  • The All Time sheet's Workout card now counts workouts from every session type (not just Workout Only sessions), and huge career totals no longer overflow their cards
  • An out-of-date Siri live snippet can no longer undo a shot from a newer session
  • Fixed a crash when deleting a session with video while running the iOS 27 beta
  • Dozens of surfaces that still showed English in localized builds are now translated — the share card, privacy screen, paywall headlines, watch complications, watch captions, win-back offer terms, career tiles, consistency legend, and more

Version 3.05 July 23, 2026

Added

  • Tally Hoops now speaks 10 languages — Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Russian — with locale-aware numbers, dates, and Assist Mode voice commands
  • Your free Video Mode recording now refreshes every month (it used to be 2 total, ever)
  • Everyone can now create up to 2 custom drills, free — unlimited with Premium
  • Premium: Record Progression timelines — watch every personal record climb, PR by PR, and share it as a story or square card
  • Premium: hide the Tally Hoops watermark on shared cards via Settings → Sharing
  • Streak Freeze now shows exactly when it saved your streak; if a missed week breaks your streak, you'll see when a freeze would have kept it alive

Changed

  • Stats: the Year and All-Time ranges are now part of Premium — Week and Month stay free, and your data is untouched (a one-time in-app notice explains the change)
  • All-Time Stats: the workout pill now totals calories, distance, steps, and duration across every session (renamed "All Sessions"), not just workout-only ones
  • Home and Stats hold up better on iPad and at large text sizes — section headers no longer wrap mid-word and layouts share one consistent spacing

Fixed

  • Assist Mode recordings no longer save twice when you end a session mid-recording, and new sessions now appear on Home right away
  • The "Near Record" badge now points you at records you can still beat instead of tagging sessions from long ago
  • Album artwork now loads reliably in the Songs list

Version 3.04 June 25, 2026

Added

  • Live heart rate, training zone, and fatigue-cliff status now appear on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Smart Stack while a session is running
  • Two new drills with real mechanics — Pressure 5 and the Ladder — plus Siri shortcuts and deep links to start a drill hands-free
  • Fatigue Cliff now shows the heart rate at your cliff, a trend chart of how it's moving over time, and a note on what it's still learning before it can call your cliff
  • A time-of-day card in Stats showing when you shoot your best
  • Goal templates for a one-tap start, and a celebration when you complete a goal
  • Free practice challenges you can try before subscribing
  • Album artwork now appears in Music Stats
  • Redeem a Code in Settings to apply an offer or promo code
  • A progress recap when you graduate from a training plan
  • Share Diagnostics in Settings — an opt-in export to help troubleshoot issues
  • Free weekly Activity Status — mark a week as rest, travel, or injury to protect your streak

Changed

  • Large stat numerals, titles, and labels now scale with your text-size and accessibility settings
  • Training plans adapt more closely to your recent sessions
  • Locked stats now show a real preview instead of a blur, so you can see what Premium unlocks
  • Apple Music playlists export by exact song match for more accurate playlists
  • "Shots" and "Shooting %" now read consistently across Music Stats and Goals
  • Stats, Home, and AI insight cards now support VoiceOver and adapt to larger text
  • AI insights include a plain-language note on which way each trend is heading
  • The Fatigue Cliff detail now breaks out each shot type's own cliff, not just your blended one
  • Today's Focus now shows how your session went afterward, right on Home
  • Shooting-trend and rolling-form charts stay readable across long histories, with a Recent/All range toggle

Fixed

  • Recording now recovers from interruptions like phone calls, checks for free space before you start, and explains playback problems clearly
  • Assist sessions now start correctly when you already have past session history
  • The Home and Stats tabs no longer show stale numbers after changing a filter or finishing a session
  • Training plan targets now step on clean values instead of awkward fractions
  • Sessions recorded on Apple Watch now land on the correct calendar day regardless of time zone
  • The purchase confirmation now reads "Premium" instead of "Pro"
  • A range of Goals fixes for more reliable progress and completion tracking
  • Achievement unlocks now fire reliably — toasts, celebrations, and the retroactive scan no longer miss or cut each other off
  • Music tracking during Apple Watch sessions is now reliable — your songs keep logging for the whole session, and each shot is credited to the song that was actually playing instead of piling onto one when the iPhone sleeps
  • Assist Mode sessions now always save to your history, even with "Include HealthKit" turned off — previously turning it off silently discarded the whole session
  • Drills you finish on Apple Watch now show as completed on iPhone, with their tier and stats

Version 3.03 June 11, 2026

Added

  • Fatigue cliffs are now tracked per session type — your free-throw cliff and three-pointer cliff are independent
  • Setting a personal best now triggers its own haptic and ring celebration on Apple Watch
  • StoreBackup restore tool: recover session history from on-device crash-recovery backups (Settings → Debug)
  • Apple Watch can now send its full session history to iPhone on demand (Settings → Debug → Send Full History)
  • iCloud sync errors now show a plain-language description and a Retry button

Changed

  • Onboarding now opens with the live Apple Watch demo; streamlined from 4 to 3 pages
  • The "iCloud storage full" sync message is now actionable and reassuring
  • Expired training plans auto-regenerate when you open the app, preserving any customization
  • Stats charts are colorblind-safe: make and miss now use distinct shapes, not just color
  • VoiceOver labels added to all stats chart data points
  • Carousel navigation uses capsule page dots with a detent tick

Fixed

  • Today's Focus and Fatigue Cliff Home cards displayed incorrect colors in dark mode
  • Crash when scrolling Home on certain device configurations
  • Apple Watch session summary sometimes dropped the final drill in a multi-drill queue
  • Video recording could crash approximately 20 minutes into a session
  • Corrected 20 bugs across fatigue cliffs, adaptive training plans, Beat My Run, and video mode

Version 3.02 June 6, 2026

Added

  • Fatigue Cliff Coach: Tally Hoops learns your personal fatigue cliff — the heart rate where your make percentage drops. A card on the Home screen shows your cliff and whether it's improving. Your Apple Watch fires a haptic the moment live heart rate crosses the threshold mid-session.
  • Today's Focus: Tally Hoops picks a focus mission before each session based on your current state — streak health, fatigue trend, hot hand, record proximity, and more. The mission is scored when you finish.
  • Adaptive Training Plans: Daily targets now include a focus area tied to your current performance signals, scored at session end and synced to your Apple Watch face and widget.
  • Beat My Run: Tap Share on any finished session to mint a challenge card. Recipients open the link to start a session pre-loaded with your exact run to beat.
  • Apple Watch tutorial now includes a page introducing live drill challenges
  • Win-back reminder when you haven't practiced for a while

Changed

  • Paywall and onboarding now lead with the Apple Watch and heart-rate moat story
  • Brand gold accent color refined and consistent across all targets

Fixed

  • Launch crash loop introduced in 3.01 build 2 (MetricKit called on background queue)
